Located in the northeast corner of the Old City, Somphet Market caters to locals and visitors alike.  From fresh fruit to fried fish to rubber sandals and various candies, they’ve got everybody covered.

Traditional markets are always a highlight for me.  I love getting to see how the locals shop and eat, even in one of most most tourist-y parts of the city.

Of course, durian on display.  BOO DURIAN!  You made my ice cream smell like dead feet!
