Authenticity

I hate to sound like a Korea snob (“You haven’t experienced the country until you’ve done this!”) but I guess it’s unavoidable at times.  Most of my thoughts along these lines would definitely have to do with food, and second would probably be Korean temples.

But honestly if you haven’t been in a taxi with a grizzled Korean cabbie going 100 km/h, blowing through various red lights, with Adele’s “Someone Like You” blasting, you haven’t experienced Korea.

Or you haven’t experienced Korea until you’re zipping home *just* after the subway has stopped running, both of the front windows open despite the late fall chill because, you realize, your cabbie is at the end of his far-too-long shift and is in danger of nodding off.

    That was something. Ah, memories.
