Every winter we have an exchange program with a college in Manila. A group of Filipino students come over to lurvely Daegu for a two-week internship at our school’s connected hospital. It’s basically become a quirky little winter tradition for me and my foreigner coworkers.
There was a actually a lot less snow than usual, so the snow machine was in use.
But otherwise, it was good silly fun yet again. And, of course, winter time nomz:
People were slurping down instant noodles and spicy rice cakes and downing them with cups of cheap-ass instant coffee. So basically, Korea.
It was a good time, even if the Filipino students were in danger of freezing to death in the Mungyeong cold.
The saddest little Snack Corner in all of the world, or possibly the raddest?
Since I’m signed through for another year, we’ll be doing another winter adventure next January.
