Me and a friend went to the ballpark last Saturday. As I’ve mentioned before, Korean baseball is a glorious, glorious thing. I mean, c’mon — you get to eat fried chicken and Korean dumplings instead of boring hot dogs! You can bring freakin’ coolers stuffed with beer and goodies in, no problem! Nobody checks your bag before entering the stadium! Basically, it’s an excuse to eat and get drunk!
Dried squid grilling stations!
And, I have the luxury of living in lurvely Daegu, home to three-time repeat champions Samsung Lions.
They beat the ignoble Doosan Bears 7-6 with a single in the bottom of the ninth. Good times, as usual.
