Decidely mixed feelings about the US win over Ghana.  It was desperate and ugly to say the least, after an amazing start.

Possession was the real issue.  We couldn’t keep the damn ball for more than two passes at most.

And while it’s nice, once again, to have Tim Howard bail us out, this wasn’t a team that looked all that much better than the 2010 squad.

Who knows what Altidore’s status is.  I thought Johannsson did OK given that the mid-fielders didn’t give him any service (he won a nice corner kick late).

And approaching Portugal, it’s interesting that they got torched by a German side with zero dedicated forwards.

There’s a lot for Klinsmann to think about.
