Protests

Meanwhile, here in South Korea:

On May 24, about 30 thousand citizens participating in the commemorating assembly of Sewol ferry tragedy march from Cheonggye Plaza to the memorial altar in Seoul Plaza outside City Hall, holding the signs reading ‘Park Geun-hye, step down’ ‘Investigate Park Geun-hye.’ Police, which mobilized 192 companies of riot police, arrested around 100 marchers.”

I was in downtown Daegu yesterday for Korean class.  I saw more than a few memorials covered in yellow ribbons.

The Sewol disaster is still a huge issue for many Koreans.
