Candolim Beach, Goa, India.
Goa has tons of beaches so there’s no need to limit yourself to just one. I started off at quiet and fairly remote Benaulim in south Goa, then moved north to the busier Candolim. Honestly, I preferred this one. There were more tourists, but it was also more lively. Still, both were great.
Beach shacks are a Goan staple. Sit right down and help yourself to fresh seafood and/or beer.
This captures the mood rather well.
Goa became popular as a hippie/burnout paradise in the 70’s and the legacy remains.
Feeling no pain.
